Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before starting your course at OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education. These terms tell you who we are, how we will provide our courses to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem and other important information.

ENROLMENT FEES & REFUNDS

SHOULD A STUDENT FAIL TO ATTENED ANY OF THE COURSES OR COMPLETE ANY OF THE COURSES DUE TO ILLNESS OR FAMILY EMERGENCY OR CHANGE OF MIND NO REFUND OR DEPOSIT WILL BE OFFER, AN ALTERNATIVE DATE WILL BE OFFERED TO YOU.

HOURS, ATTENDANCE & ACHIEVEMENT

1. When you arrive for your first session at OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education courses you will be required to provide us with details of any relevant health conditions and particularly of any allergies.

2. If you do fail to attend the first or any other day at OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education or if you arrive late or leave early on any day you may not be allowed to complete the remainder of the courses and will not be entitled to a refund or to reschedule. Attendance to course is 100% attendance to pass the course.

3. Classes start at 10.30am and lunch will be at 12:00pm – 1.00pm classes will finish at 4.30pm but is subject to change on due to class student numbers.

4. At OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education will be closed on all UK public holiday falls during your course an extra day will be added to your course a reduction fee will not be given.

5. Time off for official religious holidays booked vacations, medical appointments and pre-arrange weddings etc. must be discussed and agreed before a course starts.

6. At all times that you are in the building you must strictly comply with all Health Instructions and Fire Instructions and if our teacher considers that you have failed to do so you may be required to leave the session concerned.

7. At OM Makeup Artistry & beauty Education all your theory session are online including any exams which must be completed before attending your practical session with your teacher. The exams and qualifications are subject to the criteria of the relevant awarding body in each case. We reserve the right to refuse certificates to any student who does not fully attend the course; fails to complete all required coursework, exams and online theory work to at least the required standards of a pass has not met our expectations in any way.

8. If you fail the online exams, we are able to offer you the opportunity to retake. You may also be asked to repeat any examination or assessment which you do not pass.

9. During your time at OM Makeup Artistry Education the teach will assign other students to act as your model in some sessions and will assign you to act as the model for other students at other times. This is the case for all courses including makeup, massage, nails and other courses. You must accept the models assigned to you and must accept your assignments to act as a model. You confirm by signing this document that you agree to act as a model and to be worked on in this way.

Professionalism and Manners

1. At all times during your time in the building at OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education you must comply with the instructions and guidance of our teachers. At the end of each session you must comply with the teachers’ instructions in order to leave the building in an acceptable manner.

2. At all times whilst at the OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education and in the building you are required to be act in a respectful and professional manner, whether in the classroom or in other areas of the Academy, or at any external location in connection with the course. This naturally includes a requirement that you will at all times be courteous and considerate to other students, the teachers, models and any other members of staff or members of the public. We have a “zero tolerance” approach to any behaviour that may be considered obscene, discriminatory or aggressive or may amount to harassment of any kind. Our teachers may at their discretion require any student to leave the OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education and/ or the building if they behave in such a way, and if this occurs the student will not be entitled to return to OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education to obtain a refund of their fees.

3. If you leave any of your personal items unattended including any kits brought in any part of the building you do so at your own risk.

DRESSCODE & FACIAL ADORNMENTS

1. You are required to wear all black clothing which are comfortable, however as you will be working together in pairs and taking turns to model for each other please do not wear high-necked tops. It is not advice to wear leggings, shorts or short tops or short skirts, this is a professional work environment. You will also need to wear all black clothing for your final assessment day of your course. Please remove any semi-permanent lash extensions as this inhibits your fellow students from completing the look and practising both strip and individual lashes.

2. If you have any skin allergies or sensitivity to your skin and are unable to be worked on, then you will be asked to provide a model to replace yourself in class.

3. Requirements’ for your class dress code in class:

· Head dress to be able to be pulled back off the face when required to be a model.

Long hair should be tied back.
Fingers and arms should be free of jewellery except for a plain, smooth wedding ring.
No chewing gum during class.
Fingernails should be short, clean. Gel polish can be worn but must not be chipped. No nail extension
Small earring can be worn.

GENERAL

1. You must not remove any of our property or any property of any other person from the OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education without our express permission. We reserve the right to report any such matter to the police.

2. You must not damage any of our property or any property of any other person. You will be liable to pay damages for any property which you damage.

3. Please note that OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education will be taking both photos and videos evidence of work in the classroom that will be used for future promotion on its website and social media plate forms.

4. You will be required to photograph your work during your OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education and to submit those photographs as part of the assessments and / or modules. You must not photograph the work of other students or of the teachers and/ or other aspects of the building or OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education Academy without our prior consent.

5. You must not use any video camera at the OM Makeup Artistry & beauty Education without our prior written permission and as this may require the permission of other people and/ or brand owners, we may not be able to give you that permission.

Our rights to make changes.

1. All courses fees are subject to prices increase when needed.

2. On our website we describe the contents and nature of each courses. From time to time we will make minor changes to courses for the purposes of keeping the course up to date and/ or in order to comply with legal requirements, particularly in relation to health and safety issues.

3. At OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education reserves the right to re-schedule the course and no refund will be payable. Courses fees will not be refunded should a course be cancelled or interrupted through an act of God or a terrorist act or a global pandemic.

Your rights to end the contract

1. Once made payment if you decided to change your mind within 7 working days 7 days to request a refund and send bank details for the refunded.

2. We hope that you will enjoy your experience at OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education and will not have any concerns, but if you do, we suggest that you contact us immediately to discuss those concerns and we will try to assist if possible.

Our rights to end the contract

We may end the contract if you break it. We may end the contract for the OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty Education at any time by writing to you if:

you do not make any payment to us when it is due and you still do not make payment within 14 days of us reminding you that payment is due;

you do not, within a reasonable time of us asking for it, provide us with information that is necessary for us to provide you with your courses or any part of it, for example, details of your age and your relevant experience

Payment Balance

1. All payments should be paid in full before starting the courses, this also includes buying your kits for your courses.

2. The price of the product (which includes VAT) will be the price indicated on our website and the World Pay order pages when you submit your application. We take all reasonable care to ensure that the price of product advised to you is correct.

3. When you must pay and how you must pay. When making payment online you can either pay in full or us Klarna. If you us Klarna you won’t be able to start the course until you have paid for your course in full. Please contact to arrange a course date with us if you are paying by Klarna. If you would like to pay via bank transfer, please let us know beforehand. We also accept payment with Visa and Mastercard.

4. Students will not be accepted on the course commencement date if course fees have not been paid in full.

No refund on courses dates you will be offered an optional date to start your course within a month.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This agreement is between the client and

OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty:

Application and entire agreement

1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the provision of the service detailed in our quotation services by OM

Makeup Artistry & Beauty services provider to the person buying the services you or customer.

2. You are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions when you accept our quotation or from the date of any performance of the services and these Terms and Conditions and quotation, the contract are the entire agreement between us.

Interpretation

3. A “business day” means any day other than Sunday or bank holiday in England and Wales. Services

Services

4. We warrant that we will use reasonable care and skill in our performance of the services which will comply with the quotation, including any specification in all material respect. We can make any changes to the services which are necessary to comply with any applicable law of safety requirement, and we will notify you if this is necessary.

5. We will use our reasonable endeavours to ` complete the performance of the services within the time agreed or as set out in the contract however, time shall not be of the essence in the performance of our obligations.

6. All of these Terms and Conditions apply to the supply of any goods as well as services unless we specify otherwise.

Fees and Deposit

7. To secure an appointment with OM Makeup Artistry and Beauty a deposit is required for an appointment with a therapist, makeup artist or hairstylist a deposit will be charged at the time of booking, in order to secure the appointment with us.

8. To secure your booking for your wedding date a signed contract needs to signed and posted back and payment made. This is the only way to secure your wedding day date.

9. Deposits for a beauty treatment can be used towards full payment for beauty treatment or left on your account for future treatments.

10. Should deposits remain unclaimed by the client following twelve months of inactivity OM Makeup Artistry & Beauty reserves the right to withhold the deposit.

11. For your wedding booking a deposit as detailed in the quotation most be paid within 14 days of acceptance. If you do not pay the deposit to us according to the agreed days (as stated above) we can either withhold provision of services until deposit is received or terminate the booking.

12. For a wedding booking a deposit is needed as a retainer to hold your trial date and wedding date. This non-transferable.

13. Payment for wedding trial must be paid 14 days before trial fthe trial date this is the same for your wedding date.

Cancellation and amendment

14. If due to circumstance beyond our control such as national locked or global pandemic we have to make any change in the service or how they are provided we will notify you immediately.

15. You can cancel your beauty treatment, makeup services 24 hours before services or treatment however failure to do so you’ll be charged the treatment service. (This does not include wedding bookings)

16. For wedding cancellation must be 3 months prior to your wedding date or you will be responsible for the amount of services agreed upon in this contract.

17. If you cancel the wedding or trial within 3 months you will be responsible for this amount of payment.

18. Our Right to cancel if a therapist/makeup artist/ hairstylist is not available to carry out your treatments through circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternative therapist/ makeup artist/ hairstylist. In unusual circumstances, we may need to cancel your booking. In the event that we cannot fulfil your appointment, we will contact you by telephone.

Payment

19. We will invoice you for payment of the fee for your wedding booking. Payment date will be shown on your invoice please make a note of these dates.

20. For your wedding booking the remaining payment is due 14 days before the wedding date.

21. If you do not pay within the period set out above, we will charge you interest at the rate of 5% per annum above the base lending rate of the Bank of England until payment is received in full.

22. If you do not pay for the wedding book within the period set above we can suspend services and be charged the full amount.

23. Receipts for payment will be issued by us only at your request.

24. All payments must be made in British Pounds.

25. When a refund is requested, it will be returned within 7 working days. Staring from the next working day.

With a 5% deduction off the deposit

Termination

26.We can terminate the provision of the services if you:

A. We have the right to refuse services to anyone: If our makeup artist (s) or hairstylist (s) feel uncomfortable, threatened or verbally abused in any way, they will have the right to leave the premises without completing services.

B. Fail to make pay any amount due under the contract on the due date for payment

Liability

27. All brushes and makeup products are kept sanitary. All products are sanitized between every makeup application. Any skin condition or sensitivities of the client(s) should be reported to the makeup artist prior to application, and if needed a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin. Beware that we will not be held responsible in the event of any allergic reaction or breakout, if no makeup or hairstyle trial was previously carried out before the wedding date due to our services
